Such big girls. We couldn't believe it, but they wanted to tube all by themselves - and they never wanted to stop. We finally had to make them get out!

That's my hand holding this "ginormous" (Rainey's favorite word for "big") pack of Smarties. Smarties have been around forever, why all of a sudden did they feel the need to make them the size of frisbees?

We spent the first three nights at a very large resort. The scenary
was beautiful. We could literally step off our porch onto a lovely
beach.

We're spending the last four nights at this very small resort. It has
28 tiny cottages perched on the side of a hill overlooking this water
that is so turqouise it looks fake. I'll have to post a picture of
the view from our balcony -nothing but ocean as far as you can see.

Charles and I are still in Antigua. Having a great time. We have
limited Internet access (good thing). This is the view from our
verandah at the first resort. Yesterday we moved to our second resort,
and it is truly heaven. I'll post some pics later.

I'm an aunt!

My sister, Bonny, has made me an aunt. Granted, it is a dog - but given that we have to rely on Bonny or Charles' brother Brian for any human nieces or nephews, I'm thinking it may be a good while and we probably just better enjoy the dog.

I guess I could update you all on Bonny while I'm at it. Since many of you who read my blog are friends from highschool and probably haven't seen her since she was in elementary school (and wore her clothes inside-out and backward, unbrushed hair, dragging around a stuffed cheetah). Well, my MUCH younger sister has really grown up. She graduated from Ole Miss last May, and immediately started a masters program in Wellness/Health Promotion. She will finish that program in December, I think. She also moved from Oxford to Atlanta last month - she somehow convinced her graduate program to let her finish everything online and do an internship in Atlanta. Why the big rush to get out of Oxford, you ask - and the answer is see picture below of a certain stud who happens to live in Atlanta. And I'm sure that trying to finally get away from my mom had nothing to do with it (since Mom and Jimmy did up and move from Athens to Oxford fairly immediately after Bonny started school there).

Anyway, here are the proud new parents (picture ripped straight from her Facebook page) and my precious little neice, Addy. She's a miniature dachshund.

The Fat Face

When Rainey goes underwater and holds her breath she says she is making her "fat face." We have been at the pool a lot already this summer. Which is why I am working on what appears to be my first tan since I was a sophomore in college and had nothing better to do than float in the pool all afternoon. But I digress... Carlisle is completely flotation free and working on strokes. Rainey still floats around a good bit in an innertube or water wings, although she will take them off and spend a long time jumping and swimming without them.

Ballet Camp

I know *shock*, a new post. I finally downloaded all the pictures from the last few months from my camera. I actually have easter pictures too - but perhaps I won't try to make up that much blogging ground.

Anyway, girls went to a little ballet camp last week. They absolutely loved it!! Honestly, I was pretty sure they were going to hate it - not many children they knew, 2 1/2 hours a day of someone giving them directions, having to perform in front of people. But I signed them up anyway - because isn't that what you're supposed to do as a parent - force them into lots of experiences and stuff to make sure they are well-rounded? (i.e. - School's out for the summer and mama really wanted 2 1/2 hours a day of no children.)

Here are a couple of pictures and videos. They did a performance for the parents on the last day. Please note that Rainey is wearing a complete jewelry ensemble. She doesn't really like to leave the house unless she is fully accessorized. Carlisle doesn't look thrilled to be on stage, but at least she's moving. At her class end of school program in May - she pretty much stood there scowling and refusing to sing or dance. So I call this progress.
